L’édition anniversaire des Boucans de la Baie, célèbre aussi la diversité des talents qui façonnent la culture martiniquaise contemporaine. Gladys Dubois, alias Demwazel Dys incarne à merveille cette dynamique d’enracinement et d’ouverture aux rythmes et sonorités d’ailleurs.

Accompagnée du groupe SÈBI, elle s’illustre sur la scène du 30 Décembre offrant un florilège de son répertoire Créole Pop aux accents de Bèlè, zouk, afro, jazz et musiques internationales. 

The anniversary edition of the Boucans de la Baie also celebrates the diversity of talents that shape contemporary Martinican culture. Gladys Dubois, also known as Demwazel Dys, perfectly embodies this dynamic blend of cultural roots and openness to rhythms and sounds from elsewhere.

An Artistic Commitment: La nou lé alé
One of the highlights of her career is the creation of her show La nou lé alé with the group SEBI, a work born from their artistic residency at Tropiques Atrium in 2022. This performance, blending musical and theatrical acts, is a perfect example of her desire to express societal questions while honoring Martinican culture.

Accompanied by the group SÈBI, she will take the stage on December 30th, offering a selection from her Creole Pop repertoire, infused with influences of Bèlè, zouk, Afro, jazz, and international music.
